Building Africa's mapping infrastructure
Oolel Maps is a navigation and addressing platform purpose-built for the realities of West African cities — multilingual queries, crowdsourced addresses, and unpaved-road awareness.
Why we exist
Most of the world's mapping infrastructure was designed for cities with formal addressing systems. Africa's largest urban areas often don't have those. We're building maps that work the way people actually navigate here — by neighborhood, by landmark, in French, Arabic, or English.

What we believe
Local truth
The most accurate map is the one drawn by the people who live there. Our address database is community-contributed and verified, not scraped.
Multilingual by default
Every place on the map exists in three languages. Search for it in any of them and the right result comes up.
Real conditions
Routing accounts for unpaved roads, market hours, and the kinds of geography that off-the-shelf maps quietly ignore.
